Successful facilitation and technical production of any online event encompasses more than people, processes, and goals. The producer or facilitator realizes the “experience” starts with the first email invitation, through the first greeting online, and goes through to the follow-up on feedback. The producer helps hold the online space, plans for people's needs and considers the resources and risks to supply those needs.
And yet, the production of online events is a team sport. Even if you are the sole organizer, you team with your participants to accomplish the event's shared purpose.
But where do you practice?
Introducing Practice Spaces! A safe place for you to practice the skills you need to learn (or re-learn) in a safe team-based environment. These practice spaces help those producing online events to plan a seamless experience. This allows the participants and facilitators to focus on interactions and results in the online environment.
NOTE: These are NOT classes. You should either have prior training or experience in online facilitation. We will review concepts at times, but the goal is to get you into practice.
